EDC as an idea took shape with the coming together of two factors. On the one hand, there was the fascination with the power of sensations – visual, auditory, and tactile – to make a difference in others; and on the other, the emergence of a technological paradigm that enables the use of these sensations on a larger scale in order to widen the scope of understanding, communicating and the ability to reach out.
